The Iglesia Matriz de Nuestra Señora de la Concepción serves as the Diocese of Tenerife since 2001.Su site set in place as the Head Fernández de Lugo after the celebration of the feast of Corpus Christi in 1496. Founded in 1511, is coupled to the array of St. James Parish in Los Realejos, one of the parishes matrices of the island of Tenerife.


    

The

Santa Iglesia Catedral de San Cristóbal de La Laguna, also called the Catedral de nuestra señora de los remedios  is a neo-Gothic cathedral in the main body, and neoclassical facade. In this temple lie the remains of Alonso Fernández de Lugo, conqueror of the island and founder of the city, nicknamed "The Head. "


The Real Santuario del Santísimo Cristo de La Laguna , is a Catholic church located in the city of San Cristobal de La Laguna. Has the category of Cultural Property.

The Real Santuario del Santísimo Cristo de La Laguna , was the third shrine Canary Christian to receive the title and the distinction of "Royal"



The Plaza del Adelantado is a central square in the city of San Cristobal de La Laguna. In arlededor is City Hall, the courts of the municipality, the municipal market (tentatively in the Plaza del Cristo pending the construction of a new building) and the Hermitage of San Miguel Archangel.

 





The Palacio de Nava  is a palatial building that is located in the vicinity of the Plaza del Adelantado in La Laguna. Is one example of Canarian architecture that combines elements of Baroque, Neoclassical and Mannerist. This mixture is the result of the different moments experienced by the palace building.


The Plaza del Cristo de La Laguna, (whose original name is Plaza de San Francisco) is a square in the city of San Cristobal de La Laguna. The square is located in the northeast of the city. This square until recently marked the boundary between the city of La Laguna and agricultural area that stretches behind them, forming the familiar vega lagunera .

 





The church and Ex-Convento de San Agustín founded around 1506 by Augustinian friars who accompanied the conquerors of the island of Tenerife. Although for five centuries has been changed by successive architectural contributions, it is perfectly visible to its original appearance, most notably this particular cloisters.


The Casa Salazar  is a canary baroque palace located in the city of La Laguna. It is one of the most prominent examples of the typical architecture of the archipelago that also combines elements of Mannerist and Neoclassical. In 1681 the Conde del Valle de Salazar, Christopher Salazar de Frias, ordered its construction.

 





The Iglesia de Santo Domingo de Guzman is declared of cultural interest in the category of Historical Monument since 1986. Located in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, and is the church of the former Convent of Santo Domingo which is annexed to it.



The University of La Laguna, is a public university located in the city of San Cristobal de La Laguna. The history of universities in the city of San Cristobal de La Laguna date back 1701. Today is the oldest university in the Canaries and more students have had and have.








The Museo de las ciencias y el cosmos  (MCC) is a unique mixture of traditional museum and amusement park, where visitors have the opportunity to reach the laws and principles governing nature from running its own body to the stars.

San Cristobal de La Laguna has different and varied landscapes, including highlighting the coast Bajamar and Punta de Hidalgo, and the Parque Rural de Anaga to drink one of the best views in regard to the natural presentation of La Laguna.
